Maggie was my first English Springer Spaniel. It did not take my family long to fall in love with this breed of dog. Maggie was so smart, friendly, loyal, and loving from the start. She is the queen bee of the household and speaks up when needed. She is in retirement now spending her days lounging on the couch and still bossing everyone around.
Maggie was such a cute puppy!
We enjoyed her so much that in the following year we added Max to our family.
What a great time we had with them growing up together.
He was just as smart as Maggie and also the most laid back puppy I have ever had. Don't get me wrong, he still chewed up a few things that he shouldn't have, but most of the time it was the kids toys that needed thrown away anyway. One of his favorite things to chew was my daughters dolls and he will still sneak up to her room every now and then to see if she has anything new.
Since our family and friends ended up enjoying our dogs as much as we do, I decided to breed them. All but two of the first litter went to family and friends. The owners of the two that I don't get to see, still keep me updated with pictures and news. One of the females from this recent litter is going to the same friend who took Angie from the first litter. Everyone is very happy with thier dogs.
Meet Mackenzie, I call her the peacemaker of the family because she is so laid back and doesn't like too much excitement in the house. Put her outside and she will fly through the yard but as soon as she comes in the house, she behaves better than the kids. :) Mackenzie gave us some great pups over the years and is in retirement now.
This is the first time I saw Mackenzie. It was love at first site.
This is our one and only cat P.i.t.a. She is constantly tormenting the puppies and dogs.
Meet Mazie,
She came to us with the intention of placing her in another home. Well, the whole family fell in love with her and she is nice company for the other dogs. A bundle of energy and loyalty to match, Mazie is fixed and not a breeding dog, but a great member added to the family.
UPDATE.... Our sweet Ol Ladybird passed away earlier this year at the young age of 16! She was a big part of our family and is greatly missed by us and the dogs.
Then we have Ladybird. She is a BIG black lab/bloodhound mix that I rescued from the local pound. I took my mom up for her to pick out a dog and ended up dragging my husband up there the next day for Ladybird. She loves it when the puppies are old enough to play with and even though she is really big, she is a gentle giant and wouldn't hurt a flea. She loves it when we have new litters of puppies to watch over and play with.
A lot of changes the past year and upcoming year. We have slowed down a bit and downsized some. With that being said, there will be some puppies available during our move. We are helping place puppies whelped by family or close friends who have carried on our lines. We'll continue to update this page as we can to let everyone know when we are completly settled again and ready to bring more of our own personal furbabies back.
